AI for Teachers: Third Tuesdays with Ronda
A monthly online session focused on practical, classroom-ready ways to use AI. Each session shares tools, examples, and ideas teachers can actually use. Hosted by Ronda Swartz.

HECC Conference 2026
Jason Padgett and Ronda Swartz will explore what it means to prepare students for an AI-infused future, beyond simply teaching today’s tools. Using The Odyssey as a frame, they will examine AI systems that flatter too readily, systems that sound so human people begin to treat them like people, and the judgment students need to keep healthy human boundaries.

University of Scouting: AI Merit Badge
Jason will instruct the Artificial Intelligence merit badge to a group of scouts in a Purdue computer lab. Two sessions, 9 AM to noon and 1 PM to 4 PM, covering the official BSA AI merit badge requirements. Hosted by the Sagamore Council. Registration opens June 1.
